Max, an aspiring young writer in London, begins living a double life as a sex worker in order to research his debut novel. Sebastian is a complex portrait of an artist as a young man. Drawn into Max’s story by Mollica’s passionate performance, the film follows the highs and lows of chasing fame, surviving the sting of rejection, and navigating the threat of being found out for using intimate hookups for public consumption.
